Mission to Mars

BUCK...It’s about 20 years in the future, and man is landing on Mars. There’s a problem with the first expedition, though, and a rescue mission has to be sent. The second crew, which includes Tim Robbins and Gary Sinise, overcomes a variety of events to finally land on Mars and determine the fate of the first crew. Both Robbins and Sinise are excellent in their roles, and the special effects are very well done. This movie is reminiscent of a couple of sci-fi classics. I give Mission to Mars a hearty Four Bunnies.

DOE... This week’s video, Mission To Mars, has some interesting special effects, but nothing as good as Star Wars. The tale is one of rescue and exploration of the red planet. When the rescuers arrive they find one survivor who tells a story of being engulfed by something like a wind storm. The famous face on Mars is revealed and an unusual personage. The story line is ordinary but space fans will probably enjoy this one. The directing and costumes alright but nothing to write home about. We give it a moderate Three Bunnies.
